Oak: Turn Customer Insights into Winning Products

Turning Conversations Into Product Decisions

Oak connects the dots between raw customer conversations and strategic decision-making. It automatically pulls insights from transcripts and maps them to predefined objectives, helping teams make smarter, faster decisions based on real user data.

MY ROLE

As a founding product designer (part-time), I worked closely with the founders from day one, shaping early concepts, validating ideas, and iterating quickly as we searched for strong signals toward product-market fit.

THE PROBLEM

Product and research teams have hours of user interviews and call recordings, but most of it remains underused. Insights are hard to extract, categorize, and trace back to company goals. Even when teams take notes or tag transcripts, they often lack a structured way to make use of that information downstream in product planning.

the SOLUTION

Tradehub addresses these pain points by offering an intuitive and technology-driven solution. Our platform is designed to:
Streamline Sales & Ordering: Replace outdated catalog formats with interactive, shareable product catalogs that enable a novel collaborative quote building experience.
Enhance Negotiations: All quote requests, pricing adjustments, and order changes happen within the platform, reducing back-and-forth emails and confusion.
Seamless Integrations: Connect with Shopify, WooCommerce, Oracle, SAP, and other ERPs to keep product data and inventory up to date.

Stop Guessing. Start Building What Customers Love.
AI-generated insights give teams a high-level view of recurring themes and product opportunities instantly.

We spoke with Caleb Miller, Wholesale Manager at Atlas Goods, to understand how his team uses our product to manage seasonal B2B catalogs.

The conversation highlighted a strong reliance on public sharing, region-based pricing and the need for better version tracking when updating catalogs. Caleb shared candid feedback on the importance of clear partner-specific access.
Key Insights & Highlights
• Caleb manages 40+ active wholesale buyers across 3 regions (EU, GCC, North Africa).
• Their team maintains 3 catalogs per season, each shared with different pricing rules.
• He said they tried Showroom before, but dropped it due to "limited control over price visibility and too much friction setting up.

So Paul, can you walk us through how you’re currently managing product catalogs for buyers?
Paul Spencer
02:18
Create Issue
Yeah, right now we’ve got three main catalogs that we update every couple of months. One for local retailers, one for export, and one for hospitality clients. They all have different prices, and we don’t want them to see each other’s rates.

How do you usually share those catalogs with your buyers?
Paul Spencer
03:40

Mostly public links. Sometimes through email, sometimes via WhatsApp. We use QR codes at trade shows—it’s the fastest way to get people to browse.
Julie Abbott

And how do you make updates or changes to those catalogs?
Paul Spencer
04:40
Create Issue
That’s the hard part. I’ll duplicate a catalog, make the edits, then share it again. But I wish I could just compare the changes instead of re-sharing the whole thing.

Do you use any quotation or ordering features?
Paul Spencer

It’s more about price visibility right now, buyers request a quote, then we follow up manually.

Super clear use case for catalog segmentation. We should explore templates based on buyer type (retail/export/etc...)
Julie Abbott

They're duplicating entire catalogs just to make minor changes for each customer. Price lists and partner assignment would save a lot of time here.
